Author’s Note
Hello, my name is Carson Oerman and welcome to my Adversity exhibit. This exhibit is filled with many forms of adversity and the best ways to deal with it. In the exhibit you will be shown the best ways to deal with adversity and you will also be shown examples of adversity in songs, a movie, art, and the novel Touch the Top of the World by Erik Weihenmayer.
As you are viewing my exhibit I hope that you notice a theme of using hard-work and determination to deal with adversity. I believe that this is shown consistently throughout the exhibit. God has told us in Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” God is clearly telling us here that he has control over everything and that we shouldn’t worry.
Throughout the curation process, I was introduced to many new and effective way to respond to adversity. I believe that this will help me when I have to deal with future adversities in my life. Most importantly, I learned that God, my family, and my friends will all be with me when I face struggles.
