This was a video I made as a Junior at Lincoln Lutheran. The class had the task of creating another “Choose Your Own Adventure” project, but we had to have some action in the video so we could work on cutting on action. I decided to make my video about the University Lutheran Chapel indoor frisbee golf course because I have played the course a few times and really enjoyed it. It is also something that a lot of people don’t know about. Even some people that go to the chapel regularly don’t know that the course exists. I had been wanting to make a video about this since I first started making videos this year and I finally got around to it. The timing hadn’t worked out before because there were usually people in the conference rooms where the holes are. I wanted my brother to be in this video because he was done the course probably 100 times and he stills owes me for helping with his stuff.

I think that I did a lot of good things in this video. The thing I am most proud of is the cutting on action that I did. This took a lot of takes without a second camera, but I think that all of my cuts were done pretty well. I also think that I got a good amount of angles for my shots. I really like the shots of my brother throwing the frisbee around the corner and then I cut to a shot from the other side of the wall. The problem with this is that sometimes it took a while for my brother to throw it similarly enough where the cut would look smooth. Another problem with this was that I didn’t want to make the shots too repetitive so I tried to get angles from everywhere.

While I did a lot of good things in the video I think that my beginning and ending shots could have been a lot better. I like how they fit well together because they were basically reverses of each other. I just think that the introduction started a little fast and I could have started slower to let the people watching the video know more before the video actually starts.

If I could do this project again I don’t think that I would change a whole lot. One thing I would have liked to try is getting one of my brother’s friends and make the video a competition. I also think that the voiceover I did at the beginning would have been better if I had

my brother do it. This was my own fault though because I came up with the idea too late and by that time my brother was in Utah for a church trip and I had to do it myself. Overall I wouldn’t change too much though, I would just want to see how it would have looked had I done something different.
